Position of Executive Head

The Jesuit’s Church in Merchants street Valletta, is one of Malta’s most important historical and artistic monuments in our Capital.

The monument is administered by a Board of Administrators of a purposely constituted Foundation that is, mandated to the effective restoration, conservation and management of the monument as a historical, artistic and architectural monument as well as a place of worship.

To achieve its aims, the Foundation is recruiting the Executive Head for the Foundation who shall report to the Board of Administrators. He/she will be responsible for the overall management of the premises and its collections, as well as for developing and implementing a long-term strategic vision for this monument.

Profile

The ideal candidate would have strong business acumen who is able to unleash the potential of the monument and makes it a natural landmark to visit when in Valletta. The person shall have well development leadership and management skills, has an understanding of the tourism sector, would have an appreciation of the arts and culture while being able to collaborate and network with other institutions including Government entities operating in the sector.

Qualifications

The Selected person would have had some years of management experience with a track record in leadership. While we are looking for a hands-on person with a can-do attitude, formal qualifications in business management, marketing or related disciplines will be favourably considered.
